رغبة اعتراض الإدارة العامة للطيران المدني
'الفنية' أصرت على نقل المطار خلال عشر سنوات
أصرت اللجنة الفنية في المجلس البلدي في اجتماعها على قرارها بإخلاء موقع المطار الحالي خلال عشر سنوات المقبلة رغم اعتراض من الادارة العامة للطيران المدني تضمن طلبا بإلغاء القرار، فيما أوصت بتخصيص موقعين لتجمع الشاحنات في محافظة الاحمدي على طريق الوفرة في ميناء عبدالله وشرق طريق الصليبية بمساحة 500 ألف متر مربع لكل منهما.وكشف رئيس اللجنة ماجد المطيري عن توصية بإقرار طلب وزارة الداخلية تخصيص موقع لحجز المركبات في منطقة ميناء عبداله بمساحة 20 ألف متر مربع، والموافقة على انشاء مقر للجمعية الاقتصادية الكويتية في منطقة بنيد القار، وإضافة نشاطي التجارة وشوي الاسماك ضمن انشطة الجمعيات التعاونية.وقال ان اللجنة اوصت بالموافقة على تطوير محطات تعبئة الوفود التابعة لشركتي الاولى والسور للوقود بالسماح لهما بإقامة انشطة تجارية تشمل جهاز سحب نقود آلي وسوبر ماركت ومحل للبنشر والكهرباء لا تزيد مساحة الواحد فيهما على 100 متر ومحطة غير آلية ومصلى للرجال وآخر للنساء ودورات مياه.

locating airports sites? fish grilling? and alocating new business to petrol stations.. they are already crowded?! or very small plots.. where r they gona have those services.. some of them are already with in jam3iyaat.. ya3ni there are car services, supermarkets, banks, mosques! i guess there should be PUBLIC TOILETS THAT CHARGE 200 fils PER USE to keep them well maintained!!

Actually, moving the airport is a good idea. The current Airport is located in a central location of Kuwait, which is good for building cities and businesses.
And we also need a new airport, enough "targee3" with the old one. And make it far away, like beyond Jahra, so that people only go there if they need to travel, not for shopping and smoking sheesha.

I think it's a waste - instead of spending money on the airport they can improve the electricity and water shortages ;(

Why do you think its a waste to spend on a new airport? it's not like we have so little money that we can only work on one project at a time!
Kuwait has such a huge unspent income, that it can work on tens of mega projects at the same time!
But yes, we are idiots to let our country become like this.
wait ! there is already an airport under design maskita gulf consults.. and there is another private one also... so why the government would pay more on another one...
and by the decisions about the co ops, GOD!
there is something called masyad iljam3yah!
and the co ops are already providing a room for praying!
one thing i am really interested in , the relocation of services??!
why they built it in the first place only for testing!
